Unwell on Wednesday

Hard to imagine anything being wrong wif me! (before Tuesday)

Hi ya'll.  It's me Princeton.  I had a very bad day on Tuesday.  First, mine Mommy woke up at 5 a.m..  She said she didn't know what woke her.  She decided to go ahead and feed us brekkie.  I was in already in the kitchen -- frowin up!  It skeered mine Mommy, cuz she has nefur seen me yak befur.   Plus, it was water yak.  I didn't eat.  That skeered her more.  She decided to watch me CLOSELY.  I was kinda lethargic and just wanted to sleep.  So after nappin a few hours wif me, Mommy discovered that I had a BASEBALL size lump on my jaw, just under mine eye! The Mommy went ballistic.  The V-E-T was called.  I was slammed in the carrier and off we went.

Well, it seems I've had a run in wif sum little toxic critter. (bug, spider, wasp, scorpion, etc.)  I had a very high temperature (dear cod, why didn't sumbody tell me they were gonna put that there!) Then, they jabbed a needle in me to bring mine temperature downs.  After medicines and green papers changed hands, I was on mine way home. Whew!

The good news is mine face has already gone down. The bad news is Mommy isn't gonna leave me alone fur a minute. She'll be watchin the litter box more than normal, too. (she's all about the pee and poo)  I haf eat sum already and Mommy says she's gonna watch me closely fur the next 24 hrs. (she's over-protective like that- cod luf her) Let's hope Wednesday is alot more calm around here. Purrs, ya'll.

Pee Ess - the Mommy said she couldn't take a pic of me in that shape, cuz it broke her heart.

  3. Princeton - you hero! You fought a nasty toxic huge great crunchy thing and won. And got a war wound to show off. But humans do panic and it was best you got to the vet (even if the vet went places they really should not have gone). You are a mighty hunter and you will take these risks. But now you must make sure your Mom gives you everything you could possibly want while you are recovering, Paws crossed all goes smoothly. And paws also crossed you don't do it again.

  18. Our Mommy would be the same EXACT way and those spiders can really make you sick! Our human, Boomer, was bit on his face and his whole neck and jaw swelled! He had to go to the emergency room. The humans are getting ready to spray before the frogs come out. We don't have as many spiders and mosquito's since we changed our outside bulbs to LEDs=^Y^=

  19. Oh dear, Princeton! How scary! We're glad you're on the mend.

Some bugs are very poisonous. A long, long time ago, when my old bro Eddie was very little and he and my mom lived in the valley, once in a while a centipede would get in the house. Mom would only find them under the living room rug (dead, thankfully, or she would have left the building screaming) after Eddie had had his fun teasing them. Well, if he had been bitten, it could have been curtains.

And then we have Kangaroo Girl's taste for eating the webs of black widows... Thankfully we have none of those here!

  31. Well, fank Ceiling Cat somekitty's mom has some respect for a fellow when he's feeling unwell and doesn't have to document every freaking second with that flashy box!!!

I'm real sorry about that thermometer thing. You'd think they could learn to use one of them ear ones they use on Human kittens, wouldn't you?

Sorry you gotted bit! But if you are already eating, you must be feeling lots better. Let your Mommy love on you, though--it makes THEM feel better, MOL!
