False Alarm Friday

PRINCETON
Have you kittehz ever had your smoke/fire alarms  to go off?
We did at at 1 am this morning!
What a ruckus that was!  We kittehz hid UTB (under the bed).
The peeps soon ruled out an actual fire, the human aunt had accidentally set it off while replacing her batteries. ( remember the multi- generational home we reside in)

Thank Baste this was a false alarm, but we realize we need to be more prepared for this type of emergency.  Are you kittehz prepared?
Our Mommy found a pretty good fact sheet on house fires and pets.
Here's the LINK.
Stay safe furriends!

Happy Friday and purrs y'all.

  1. Wow, that must have been scary! My human worries about stuff like that all the time - whether she is actually prepared is another story.

  2. WHY in the world do those things ALWAYS go off in the night? That and the carbon monoxide alarm never FAIL to beep when the battery needs changing!!

  11. My heart breaks whenever I read someone has lost a pet or pets in a house fire. Special pet decals on windows alert firefighters to pets. It's also a good idea to think about what you would do if you had a real fire.

  14. I am relieved it was a false alarm. The battery low beep kept going off in the middle of the night so mum replaced it last week.

  15. Whew! Glad it was false alarm. How come you all hid UTB and not investigated what it was about? Buster would go in the direction of the noise, then ran the opposite way when he finds it.

  18. The only time the smoke alarm goes off is when the mom is cooking and she burns stuff. We go flying when that happens.
