Itchy Scratchy Thursday

PRUDIE
Kittehz, we need to talk about something.
Something no kitteh every wants to talk about.
FLEAS.
Yep, we got them, much to our Mommy's mortification.

She had tried a few tried and true methods - to no avail.
So off she went to the evil vet's office.
She brought home Cheristin Flea Treatment, after visiting with the vet tech.
Cheristin is one dose on the back of neck/head base.
Different dosages are not needed for different sized kittehz.  One size fits all.
Reapply in one month.
Cheristin was kind of pricey - 6 doses (one box) is $90.
(Many vet clinics (like ours) will sell them separately.)
It says it starts working 30 minutes after treatment.
And it did.

We're all resting a little easier tonight.

Mommy always stays close to us when we get a new medicine - just in case.
We are almost 12 hrs into our Cheristin and everybody is ok.

We are not paid for this or compensated in any way.
Just sharing our thoughts and experiences with our furriends.
If any of you have tried Cheristin, let us know your experience.

Happy  Flea-Free Thursday kittehz!
Purrs, y'all.

  1. We had a case of fleas earlier dis summer - we think da dogs brought dem home - at least dat are what we are sayin. We used somefin similar called Effipro and flea spray and now da household are flea-free. We think da fleas are real bad dis year cuz of da rain or somefin we heard.

  3. Oh, poor you. Sounds awful! Your humans have probably a lot of work to do - I read that you've to clean a lot, because the fleas are living 75% of their life time outsider their host animals. I think Ellen from 15andmeowing has a lot of experiences with fleas.

  4. We are very pleased that fleas don't seem ta consider our yard flea-worthy. Maybe the voles keep them all unnerground...

  5. Yuck! We are extremely lucky that our climate here does not encourage fleas. And we are really pleased you talk so openly about this and can recommend something as there have been so many tragedies from ill informed use of the WRONG flea treatments. We hope you stay itch free now. Here the itchy one is Äiti: our mosquitoes LOVE her blood.

  10. WEsa never heard of that flea stuff but last night we had to take our monthly flea pill, wellllllllll at ours house that is an adventure into hell, that is what mom says, we say differently. Furst she hid it in our supper with extra chicken and gravy, yummy but low and behold somehow all three of us ate all our supper BUT that one little pill left laying all alone in the bowls, THEN Mom scooped them up and hid them in cheese, well we licked all the cheese off and left her the pill, by then mom was worried the damn expensive pill (her words) would start to dissolve and so she ran out in the kitchen and scooped up some leftover barbecued chicken stuff from dad's supper and tried to hide them in that, finally after scooping three times, we felt sorry for her and ate the damn (her words) pill. Ahhhhh.......so much control and so little time.

  22. Fleas are horrible. I've never had them but long ago my mom lived in a place that was infested with them, and my old bro Eddie and old sis Sophie suffered!
