Tuxie Tuesday

Precious lookin happy to be photographed.

Hi furriends, Precious here on your Tuxie Tuesday!  I was just sittin here on Mommy's lap blogging, ( xxxxlko[ - that part is from me!) and it occurred to me there are several famous tuxies in history.

It is said that Shakespeare had a tuxie kitteh.  Former President Clinton had Socks the tuxie.  Beethoven supposedly even had one.  Let us not forget the tuxie cartoon kittehs, Sylvester and Felix.

T.S. Eliot immortalized us in a poem as "Jellicle" cats.  We like to believe there really is a Jellicle Ball for all of those who have crossed the Bridge.  What a fine affair to see all the tuxies in their formal attire gathered!

Today we pay homage to Harris at PIKKU PUNAPIPPURI.  Harris crossed the Rainbow Bridge last week.  His human has lost all three of her tuxie kittehz in the last year.  We imagine they are having a fine time at that ball.

The very handsome Harris.

Tuxies, pie-balds, bi-coloreds, or jellicles, or whatever you may call us, just don't call us late for dinner!  Have a super Tuxie Tuesday and just remember:  TUXIES RULE!!!

  1. We thank you for posting about our beloved Harris. It is indeed sad coincidence that we have lost our tuxies, and perheeni (my family) doesn't feel the same without them. Äiti loved their neat and tidy patterns. Harris was a very gentle, shy boy and even though he wasn't at the centre of our mischief, we miss him dearly. And whatever happened, he was never late for dinner! Have a great Tuesday.

  25. Tuxie is one kind of cat our mom hasn't had. Some folks call them cow cats too, and we think they must be from the midwest.

  26. Precious that was really sweet of you to do a post for Harris. He had some really spectacular tuxie belly markings. The tuxies here are mostly white underneath except for Mauricio. He has one large black blob. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
