Easy Like Sunday

Prancer Pie resting up.

Hi furriends, Prancer Pie here.  Thanks so much for all those good wishes!  I'll answer some questions about my v-e-t trip.

  1. Mommy never drives me to the vet because she has to hold me.  I poo and pee myself everytime she tries to use the PTU.    So, we have to have a driver.  Luckily we don't have far to travel and it's a small town.
  2. I was using thyroid ear gel, but our vet said sometimes it does seem less effective than the pills.  So back to pills I go.  Oh, well.
  3. The Fit:  I wailed, pulled, pushed, panted, and caused general mayhem all the way there.  Once my visit was over I dove under Mommy'shirt, climbed up her and stuck my head under her armpit.  There was no pulling me loose.  Mommy exited the vet office with one arm under her bellah, supporting me, and one arm on top.  She looked 10 months pregnant.  MOL!  I didn't come out til Mommy got home to her easy chair.
Mommy and I both napped this evening.  Heh-heh.  I then ate two cans of Fancy Feast.  Life is good again.

Have a super Easy Sunday.  (We are planning one.)  Purrs, y'all.

  1. TBT read what you said about pooping and peeing. So he said if WE ever did that he would stick us in a trash bag and turn the hose on.

We don't think he really would.

But we are not inclined to take chances about that sort of thing.

  2. *I* pooped in my PTU the last time I was at the Stabby Place. I made a huge mess, too--it wan't one a them neat little perfectly formed poops. No, it was SpecTACular!

Hope the pills do the trick, Buddy!

  6. I am a singer and Lewis is the messy one. Those car journeys are traumatic. And yes, we know about the armpit nuzzle too. We NEED our humans at times like that.
We hope the pills work, good buddy. Those thyroids are sneaky things. Have a restful Sunday.

  7. Wow. And all these while we've just sung on the way to the vet. We do cling on to Mommy while we are at the vet (Mommy says we cling on to her like she were a tree and we were koala bears - she doesn't even have to hold us).
We hope you don't mind the pills too much, Prancer Pie!

  8. Sima gets car sick on her way to VET! Your Mommy is lucky you didn't get that while you were inside her shirt :)

  10. Oh Prancer..getting Admiral into the PTU was an horrible ordeal...and listening to her shreiking was even worse. Mom had tears in her eyes from the stress and dreaded Admiral having to go into the PTU in the worst way. But Admiral only peed accidentally once. When mom sneaked up and grabbed her to put her into the PTU, somewhere along the way she let loose as she hadn't a chance to pee before mom grabbed her. But she shreiked and moaned and howled horribly every second in the PTU until she got to the stabby place, then, she was quiet.

  11. Our vet recommended against the ear gel for exactly that reason. We hope that giving you the pills isn't too hard. Will you eat them in a pill pocket?

  12. Well at least the Vet visit is over...that's the best kind of visit. I am sure those pills will be much better for you!

  13. I have never pooped or peed in the PTU but I sing the loudest warrior songs that I know.
Mum used to work for a vet many years ago, and once she was carrying a cat back to his owner and he did a big poop right in her hand.

  16. Two cans??? Your mommy is the best!! Glad you are doing okay, though. Even with the medicines you get spoiled though? Right? That's a little bit of a trade-off!

  17. Oh my! What a horrible traumatic vet trip; I totally agree that those thingys should be illegal. Two cans of foodstuffs does tend to make it all better though....

  19. Just ignore our Mama she is ROTFL at the moment. We are pretending we don't see her.

We are sorry to hear you had to take a trip to the V-E-T place. But, yes, we are very proud of you, especially the inside shirt, through arm hole maneuver.

  20. Most of us do the fire siren wail the entire year-long trip! Mommy says it's only 15 minutes but she LIES. And human armpits are Scientifically Proven to be calming--if stinky--snuffle away!!

Um, did you pierce her chesticles?

  21. O M Cats
Prancer bless your sweet handsome man cat heart! You really don't like to ride do you. So I have to ask...how did Mom's pit smell? did she remember to use deodorant?

  22. Wow -- I thought I had it bad having to listen to ear splitting meows for 20 miles to the vet.. but that is nothing compared to what your Mom goes through.

  23. What an ordeal you had PP. Our angel Louise used to do just like you when she went to the vet. She hid her head under Mom's arm. Mom says she read somewhere that this is pretty common behavior for a scared kitty. Sorry about the pills. Hope all of you rested well today.
