Prancer Pie Update

Hello efurrybody.  I am still sick.  I threw up my meds earlier today.  I have kept the Nutri Cal stuff down and am drinking lots of water.  I have been on my catio for a short time, too.  My abcsess is totally healed up and looks great.  My Mommy is thinking that I may have an adverse reaction to a medicine and that is what keeps me from eating. (thanks for the heads-up)  She will be checking into this at great length.

Thank you for the great tips, we are trying each and everyone.  The huge amount of purrs help, too.

Mommy says if I don't rally, she will be forced to let the vet keep me and I don't think her human Doc has enough meds for her if that happens!

    Aw, Prance, please get better. worry so about you. It could very well be the meds. Nicky used to get loose stools from antibiotics.

    P.S. Our human suggests that your mom take a deep breath, then pour a double shot of her preferred drink, if she drinks alcohol. Or has copious quantities of chocolate. And failing that, because sometimes humans are so stressed they're sick themselves and can't eat, over-the-counter anti-nausea meds, a natural sedative (half a tablet) or something similar.

    Those stinky meds are a necessary evil at times, but Prancer, sometimes our bodies just need rest, our hearts need love, and we need prayers to get us through. You have all of that and more from us.

    It's true that some meds do have an adverse effect on the appetite so we hope that that is all it is. We're thinking lots about you, Prancer, and crossing paws and sending huge purrs your way. The Vs are also crossing their hooves and sending neighs, and Tommy is sending gentle woofs.

    Oh buddy, it SUX being sick. We feel bad for you. Keep eating the Nutra-Cal, as much as you want...Mommy says if she has to, your Mom should smear it on your hard palate so you'll keep the calories coming.
