Hi furriends! We are truly blessed with lots of furriends who have been purring for me.
Here's the update: Mommy found a walnut-sized abscess on my anal gland Tuesday around noon. She whisked me away for an emergency visit to the dreaded V-E-T. He says that this is obviously the cause for my fever and general malaise. Duh, obviously! (We are still waiting on that blood test to see if my thyroid meds need adjusting.)
It was able to be drained without surgery. Whew! But, my bum is really sore. Luckily I was already on the right course of aunty-biotics, too. The V-E-T says I should be right as rain in a few days, if not, we'll switch medicines. I'm eating and drinking again, too.
Sorry the the crappy pic, but Mommy won't antagonize me with the flashy box while I'm sickly. Thank Cod!

Hey Buddy! It only took me about a day to start feeling right as rain again. Did they, um, (shhhhhh) shave your private parts?
ReplyDeleteWould you believe they shaved a big ole circle on my butt, and when my furs FINALLY growed in again, a little patch of them was GRAY! What an outrage!
Oh poor baby! We're glad your Mommy found the source of your boo boo. Hopefully you'll recover in no time!

Ouchie, Prancer dude. We hope the draining works and the drugs make sure that outrageous walnut does not return! Abscesses are not nice, particularly not there. Still sending you purrs. Keep us posted, and we hope your litter box visits are not too painful.

Prancer, it is I, the Admiral using Katie's bloggie, here from OTRB-- will tell you I scared my mommy when I had an abcess that she had no knowledge of..only the symptoms you had, and it burst on the bed. She took me to the v-e-t with NO word from me( I was the worst howler ever for trips there). It was diagnosed, Convenia given and I was eating again and doing so much better. Mommy's can't tell until it's too late usually.
