Thursday Head Count

Princess, long after night-fall.

Hi furriends, HRH Princess here.  The Mommy sneaked up on me and took my picture.  I was behind the window shade on the cat perch sunning.  What's that you say?  Yes, I know it's dark outside, now, but the sun was out before!  Not long after dark-thirty, Mommy realized I wasn't in my heated cat cup and went lookin fur me.  Mommy likes to have a "head count" every couple of hours just to know where we are.  She's paranoid like that. Always wantin to know where we are and what we're doing.   We blame this on The One That Came Before.  MOL!

So we're all accounted for and hopin efurrybody has a Happy Thursday.  Stay cool and purrs, ya'll.

  1. A head count? Needing to know where you all are? Every couple of hours? Where do you reside, a prison? Happy Thursday to ya.

  2. What is it with humans and head counts? My human is kinda like that too--no matter where we're snoozing she'll just barge in and find us.

  3. Yeah, TBT has to know where we all are at certain times. Mealtimes are easy, we are all chowin down in the kitchen.

But he needs to count heads before HE sleeps. Cuz like a week ago? Marley was in the garage. He came out with us, but snuck back in when TBT was talkin to US.. So he allus checks.

HE says he just doesn't want to find poops in the garage by a trapped cat, but WE know he mostly wants to make sure we all pile on him at night so he can sleep good! ~ Ayla and Iza

It's impawtant to have headcounts and paw counts and tail counts... just to keep the inventory intact!

  5. Oh man, the Head Count - that goes on here too! And if one of us does not show our face, my human goes into a panic like you would not believe!

  6. We sure know how you feel, our mummy has to know where we are all the time. If we go out, she calls us back after a while just to check on us. If she is out and she talks to someone who is in, she even checks up on us that way. We have even been asked to purr down the phone before now :)xx

  7. Same thing around our house. Mama does a head count morning and night. I thinks it's because she knows if we are too quiet or not around it's because we are getting into some sort of trouble.

  8. We loved your counter surf gold medal award!
And we know all about head counts too ! Äiti is obsessive about these and it's actually not fun for her when we try to hide to make them more exciting.

  9. Mommy does the exact same thing with us! And thank goodness she did because that was how she found that Boomer had pushed open the mosquito netting and gone out. He had only gone out for a minute or two, so he hadn't gone far and Mommy was able to get him back very quickly.
We're glad your Mommy found you, Princess!

  13. So great that you have a mom who is so conscientious about your safety... even if she does interrupt what appears to be a very great nap.

  21. Jeez, we thought our mom was the only one paranoid like that to do a head count every few hours. Humans can be kinda crazy.

  22. Our Mom is silly like that too, what is it with these beans? We'll let them know when we need something, right? Like when we're hungry, or want scritches, or the stinky box needs cleaning?

    Pests but useful too!

  23. Some things experience teaches you! Our mom gets nervous if she hasn't seen us in a reasonable amount of time. Then she hunts us down.
