Caturday From the Cat Tree

Hi kittehz!  I'm postin from the kitteh tree this Caturday.  Even though you can see some sun through the slats on the shades, (and it's over 50 degrees F) we are under a Winter Storm Warning.  It's not snow this time, either.  It's the dreaded ICE.   We're hunkering down to wait and see what happens.  Sometimes the weather guessers get it wrong.  (Paws crossed!)

Meanwhile, you might not see much of us around.  Last week the human sis' car gotted in an assy-dent and it is a total loss.  She has the Mom's car and they are running around like crazy getting all the appropriate paperwork done and looking for the human sis a new set of wheels.  She says she is "pooped".  She doesn't really smell like pooped, but you never know with these humans.

We hope all our furriends are having a great Caturday.  Stay warm and purrs, ya'll.

Feet In The Air On Friday

Mommy says it does her heart good to see me relaxing after all these years.  The heat from that mini-fridge works wonders!

Tuxie Tuesday

Hi furriends, Precious here.  I'm completely flummoxed.  I told Mommy to take a smexay leg pic of me and this is what happened.  Kittehz, it looks like something horrible has happened to me!

Now, it is a most acceptable pic of my adorable tuxie footsie, but that whole reflection in the microwave door has me looking like something not of this world!

After that, I retreated to my fleece pad under the lamp in the bedroom.  I'll  be catloafin the rest of Tuesday, tryin to calm myself.

Too Tiny For My Hiney Easy Sunday

This would have been a good pic for the photo hunt "Reflection"  wouldn't it?  Mommy just snapped it last night because she thought it was so funny.   This was Angel Princess' heated bed.  Mommy put it out for the first time a couple of weeks ago.  Twice I've tried to use it.  It's just not big enough comfortubls, kittehz.

The Mommy brays like a jackass laughs hysterically every time I try to use it.  Why we have such a bed, I'll never know.  (It IS the largest size...)  Mommy probably washed and dryed it and it shrunk.   Precious has availed herself of it a couple of times  now, but I think I will just stick to the kitteh tree and the peep's bed.  Stupid kitteh bed!  I hear you snorting and giggling, Mommy!!!!

I hope the rest of you have an easy Sunday.  I'll be spending mine in the kitteh tree, where it's comfy.  Purrs, ya'll.

Photo Friday

CAVANAL

 Well kittehz, the big thaw finally happened this week and the Mommy hit the roads not far from our house.  After several days of 50-60 degree fahrenheit temps, we still have snow and ice on Cavanal.  Cavanal is our local "claim to fame".  Here's the link, if you're interested:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cavanal_Hill

SUGAR LOAF

Here's the moutain that we see from the front of our house.  It's name is Sugar Loaf.  We have no idea why it's called that and there are no roads going up the mountain.  We understand it's pretty rugged and prone to rock slides.

And here we have the dried wildflowers Mommy became enchanted with.  She would probably still be out in that field taking pics if it was still daylight!

We've told several of you that we live in rural Oklahoma.  This is proof that this region is still held by families that have not changed their way of life in a very long time.  There were automobiles parked out front, but we wonder if they even have running water.

Now this excites Mommy.  This old plantation style home is about 1/2 mile from our home and we had no idea that somebody is renovating it!  We hope to get more pics and the whole story and keep you updated on it.  As you can see, the mud was awful and Mommy wasn't able to get any closer to it.

Thanks for goin on our tour with us.  Mommy deals with Prancer Pie's passing better if she can get out.  Our weather has turned around.  Yay!  We're still keeping all our furriends that are in the grips of a winter storm, on our thoughts and purrs.

We couldn't leave our furriends without a little love today.  Happy Valentine's Day!

From the Mommy:  Would you look at this?  What kitteh is gracing us with her bellah?  It's Precious!  We don't get many bellah shots (even side ones) with her.  This is kind of a big deal!

From Precious:  Don't get your knickers in a knot, woman.  It's just that this granite is soo warm from the motor of the mini-fridge underneath it.  A ladycat's got to air the bellah out once in a while!  You can look but definitely do NOT touch the tuxie!

We are keeping our furriends who are having bad winter storms in our thoughts and purrayers.  We hope all of you are safe and warm.

Hi kittehz!  This photo is kind of special.  Yes, because I am in it.  (that part was obvious)  The other reason is because my Mommy put her head and hand (with camera) through the cat flap and had to look up to get this pic.  HahahaMeow!   It was hee-larious, kittehz!  She said it felt like she was ripping her head off when she pulled it back in.  That will teach her!  

Princeton was observing from a safe distance the whole time.  What a wussy!

Hello kittehz!  Here I am in all my tuxie glory beside my heatie lamp in the bedroom.  You see I still have a beddie and a bowl of kibble nearby.  Heh-heh.

I might look a little grumpy in this photo because the Mommy and Daddy had abandoned us earlier in the day.  They had the nerve to come home smelling like steak and fish!   Pffffft!   It's gonna take a lot of arse-kissin to make up for this.  Treats and petting Mommy, right now.  It's gonna be a great Sunday, furriends!

Pee Ess - We just had the third system move through Friday night.  We're only getting about two inches everytime, but nothing is melting in between, due to the cold.  It's a lot of winter weather for us Okies.  Hoping for a thaw this weekend!

Aren't they tuxie-licious??  Of course they are, they belong to me!  All of my whiskers are white and very long.  Sorry for the cruddy pic, Mommy has had a terrible time trying to capture them.   That little pink nose isn't bad, either.  MOL!
