Thoughts On Thursday - Mommy Went To The Store!

Hi kittehz!  Yesterday was one of my favorite days - shopping day!  Mommy went to the store to stock the Daddy up on food for next week.  She knows he will do a lot of snacking while she's gone to BlogPaws.

I just love to go through all the sacks while the Mommy is unpacking them.  She won't leave them unattended because I might get my head caught in the handle (again).  It is so much fun to snoop through each and every bag!  Do you kittehz do this too?  My Mommy says I'm a "big help".  MOL!

Mancat Monday Relief

Whew, kittehz!   We dodged storms all Sunday evening.  Luck was with us and those nasty tornadoes left us alone.  Many people weren't so lucky and we are keeping those people in our thoughts.

This mancat needs some comfort and love after all of that noise.  Mommy is just the purrson to get it from.  Heh-heh.

Finally Friday

 Kittehz!  Yesterday was awfuls!  We had a big storm which sent even ME scurrying UTB!  Mommy forgot to close the cat flap to the catio and the wind sent all the dust bunnies that were under the furniture into the corner of the bedroom.  MOL!   After Mommy swept up, there was one giant dust bunny.  She said it had enough cat hair in it to make a sweater.  MOL!

Today, we're gonna chillax and rest up.  We are supposed to have the wicked weathers through Sunday.  Pfffffffffffttt!

We also wanted to show off our Woo Hoo awardie.  We got it from the LONE STAR CATS.  Thank you, kittehz!  There are rules to the awardie, but our Mommy stinks at rules.  Be sure to stop by the LONE STAR CATS and visit.

Hi kittehz!  I'm using my storage stairs again.  Mommy scared me the first time I used them HERE.  Now, not only do I use them, but I chewed the corner off them.  MOL!   I will never let those stoopid storage stairs scare me again!

Wildflower Wednesday

INDIAN PAINTBRUSH

We wanted to share our wildflowers with you.  They are pretty common, but we have tons of them this year.  They can vary in color from red to white.  Ours are orange.  Below, is the legend of the Indian Paintbrush.

OUR MEADOW FULL OF PAINTBRUSHES

The Paintbrush evoked the Native American legend of a young brave who tried to paint the sunset with his warpaints. Frustrated that he could not match the brilliance of nature, he ask for guidance from the Great Spirit. The Great Spirit gave him paintbrushes laden with the colors he so desired. With these, he painted his masterpiece and left the spent brushes in fields across the landscape. These brushes sprouted the flowers we now so wonderfully love!

Were are here at the scene of the alleged crime, kittehz.  Mommy claims that some kitteh put their cold, wet, nose where it does not belong, while she was getting dressed.

Just because I happened to be standing behind her and happen to have a wet, cold, nose (like the perp) everyone assumes it was me.

Where is the justice?  What about my rights?  Innocent til proven guilty. I won't stand for this!

Watching wicked weathers roll through here last night has made me a very tired boy today.  I'm going to recharge my catteries in front of the little heater today.  85 degrees (F) one day, 45 degrees (F) the next.  This is Oklahoma weather at its finest.

Steppin Up On Saturday

Kittehz!  I hope efurrybody is having a great weekend.  I wanted to show you what my peeps did this week.  These are my and Precious'and Chi Chi's new pet steps.  The Mommy gotted them at CROWN PET PRODUCTS. (click on their name to visit)  They even have storage underneath the stairs!  You know for those necessities, like:  treats, extra toys, treats, and blankies.  Did we mention you could put treats in there, too???

Mommy did not receive anything for this, she was just really impressed with the way these were processed, shipped, packed, labeled, and the beautiful wood.  So simple to put together, too.  We hope to be using these stairs with storage for many years to come.

Here I am checking out the storage.  When Mommy lifted another stair, it scared me and I bolted UTB!  Bwahahaha!  Not funny, Mommy.

Half-Starved On Tuxie Tuesday

Mommy is abandoning us for the WHOLE DAY (well, about 12 hrs).  We will only have two sources of water, three dry kibble bowls and three dishes of wet foodables.  We'll just call this place Starvation Station.  Cod help us.

Soapbox Sunday

Hi kittehz!  We have had a wild and wacky weekend.  Our public water was deemed unsafe on Friday due to some failure at the treatment plant.  Mommy scrambled to action.  Daddy scrambled too.  (We now have enough water for the apocalypse.)

This got Mommy to thinking.  She knew her and Daddy needed water, but so did us kittehz, and everybody else at this multigenerational home.  (dogs, ducks and chick-hens included)  She wondered if everybody realizes how much water they really need if there's an emergency.  We were curious and looked at many sources.  A good guideline is a gallon per day for each human and a gallon a day for each woofie or kitteh. Keep 7-10 days worth on hand.  That's a bunch of water!

We hope none of our furriends ever need to use this advice.  Luckily, our water was cleared for consumption 24 hrs later.  But, we'll never be unprepared  again.

Lazy, Hazy Days Of Spring???

Hi kittehz!  This is how I've spent the last two days.  The weathers has been purrfect through the daytime for lazing on the catio. (85F)  Nightime has been a different story all together!  We have had the wicked weathers again.  (So, once again kittehz, if we don't visit, it's just power or innernets problems.  We'll get around eventually.)

Mommy wants to thank efurrybody for the sweet words on our new blog look.  It is part of her healing process.  She misses Prancer Pie and thought it would be good to change up the look.  It has had a very pawsitive effect!  She would encourage everyone to consider it.

Now, I've got a thunderstorm to snoopervise.  I'm off to the catio....

Hi kittehz!  Do you notice anything different around here?  It's our new look!  Yes, the very talented GLOGIRLY (aided by Katie and Waffles), made us over.  We just love it.  That covered wagon of ours will definitely get a work-out. MOL!
