Thicker Than Thieves On Thursday

We mancats got out onto the catio today and got some fresh air.

That's right, we told the Mommy enough was enough!

We don't care if the winds have been high, it's been cold, there's been smoke from grass fires,

or whatever excuse she was using - she can't keep us in forever.

Actually it was quite nice this afternoon for us in the catio

and we enjoyed it immensely.

So there.

Efurrybody else have a happy Thursday too.

Kneady Thursday

 I'm playing nursemaid to Mom this week.  She has an old injury 

(children, there's a reason we don't have horseplay around swimming pools!)

that required an emergency room visit and bed rest this week.

No worries kittehz - I have made sure to stomp, knead, and lie upon the affected area generously.

Mom's sure to be back on her feet tomorrow, because she's promised to care for the local feral

cat colony tomorrow and through the weekend.  

We'll try to post pics of that if possible.

That Bellah Thursday

Mommy caught me mid thlurp early this Thursday morning.

A mancat has gotta keep his bellah nice and clean for those Mommies

that come along and snorgle them, and our Mommy is a repeat offender.

Togetherness On Thursday

I look a little hissed off  because Mom cut off an ear, a foot, 

and part of my tail in this pic!

She said if I didn't try to squeeze into the human litter box room with her,

these things wouldn't happen.

But I like to spend every waking minute with Mom. 

We blog, sleep, brush teeth, shower, clean litterboxes, do laundry, and 

go to the bathroom together, much to her dismay glee.

Caring IS sharing, kittehz.

Now, where's my part of that grilled chick-hen wrap, Mommy???

The New Girl On Thursday

RITA

 Hi all!  We want you to meet Rita.

She is the human sister's new furbaby. She got 'dopted by her!

Rita and Titus will be fursiblings.

(We've posted many times about Titus.)

As you can see, they didn't really need much time to get used to each other. Ha!

Rita's former owners used her as a breeder.

Not cool.

They went to jail on unrelated charges and Rita went to the shelter.

She was pulled by a local rescue group and taken to the human sis for foster care.

Now instead of foster home, she's in her furever home!

  We hope Rita's story gave you warm fuzzies this chilly Thursday.

Thursday Threesome

What we've got here kittehz is another traffic jam.

Mommy opened the extra window to the catio and pandemonium ensued.
That's because we still have......THE HOTS.

Yes it's true.  It was a sweltering 95 (F) degree day here yesterday.
Did we mention that we had been without rain for several weeks, also?
Wednesday was actually a record-breaking high for us.
Today is gonna be a hot one again.
We kittehz are just gonna enjoy it.
(and listen to Mommy gripe)
This weekend is supposed to bring cooler temps our way.
So we're off to the catio to bask in the sunshine and hots while we've got them.

Sibling Sniffing and Other Mews

IN OTHER MEWS:  We truly do believe our craptastic internet was fixed today!!!

(After three service calls, an upgrade, and many hours on the phone to Tech Support.)

It was exactly what the Mommy told them!  A wire was broken and just making intermittent contact.

GAH!!!!

Cornered On Thursday

This pic was actually taken Tuesday, before the monsoon rain hit on Wednesday.

I was just hangin out on the catio waitin to see if any bugs crawled by.

No such luck.

It made Mommy happy, though.

Itchy Scratchy Thursday

PRUDIE

 Kittehz, we need to talk about something.  

Something no kitteh every wants to talk about.

FLEAS.

Yep, we got them, much to our Mommy's mortification.

She had tried a few tried and true methods - to no avail.

So off she went to the evil vet's office.

She brought home Cheristin Flea Treatment, after visiting with the vet tech.

Cheristin is one dose on the back of neck/head base.

Different dosages are not needed for different sized kittehz.  One size fits all.

Reapply in one month.

Cheristin was kind of pricey - 6 doses (one box) is $90.

(Many vet clinics (like ours) will sell them separately.)

It says it starts working 30 minutes after treatment.

And it did.

We're all resting a little easier tonight.

Mommy always stays close to us when we get a new medicine - just in case.

We are almost 12 hrs into our Cheristin and everybody is ok.

We are not paid for this or compensated in any way.

Just sharing our thoughts and experiences with our furriends.

If any of you have tried Cheristin, let us know your experience.

Overcoming Obstacles On Thursday

Today I'm practicing my agility.  

I started with a wild run though the house, then an obstacle course run over Daddy's desk.

It ended with a spin/ride on the rolling desk chair

and a dismount that landed me on the peep's bed.

There was a casualty along the way, though:

That toilet paper roll never had a chance!

Now, it's time for a little siesta.

I'm still tryin to break into these cupboards, kittehz.

These strange things the Daddy put on the cupboard handles are making it

so much more difficult.

But I don't give up easy.

I am persistent, if nothing else.

Thankful Thursday

It's laundry day here at our house.

I've got lots of towels to fur.

This slightly blurry excuse for a pic is the only one I had.

Mom still hasn't moved her photos from the old 'puter and she hasn't had time for new ones.

We're gonna have to put the old cow out to pasture if she doesn't step up her game.

TITUS UPDATE;  After two weeks and 10 trips, over 2000 miles, lots of $$$, tears, and late hours - Titus is home and improved.

(Mommy is not.  She is dog tired. )

Titus had every single test you can possibly think of,  plus a spinal tap, joint tap, and MRI and tested negative for everything thus far.  (a few test results are still out)

He has been on 5 types of antibiotics, eye drops, hypertension meds, and pain medication.

Seems that the only thing that really helped him was supportive care.

He was discharged from OSU Vet Hospital Tues afternoon.  The peeps went and got him.

He has a full time pet sitter while his Mom (our human sis) works.

So far, so good.  Keep your paws crossed

Once again, thank you SO MUCH for the love, purrs, purrayers, and good thoughts.

Pee Ess - Titus came home late Tuesday night.  He is eating and drinking, but has a long road of recovery ahead of him.  Thank you so much for all the good thoughts and well wishes.
We will continue to update on his progress.

Pee Ess - Mommy leaves for Blogpaws today.  We probably won't post until she gets back.

In other mews:  today the National Weather Service declared the tornado that hit our town on Monday was an EF-2 tornado.  We remain severely flooded with more rain forecasted. Pfffft!
