It was a dark and stormy night.
Actually it wasn't stormy, but it was dark because it was after 1 am in the morning.
Heh-heh.
There was a loud noise downstairs.
Actually it wasn't downstairs.
Our house is only one level.
But, there was a strange noise coming from the cat tree.
Daddy sprung from the bed to see what was the matter.
He tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
WAIT! Wrong story.
Here's what really happened:
Mommy was trying to sleep and Daddy was "sawing logs".
Mommy heard a strange noise and turned on the lamp.
And to what did her wondering eyes did appear?
Me!
I had decided to thieve a dog treat, take it to my lair, and have a little gnaw on it.
Mommy and Daddy took it away.
Killjoys. Both of 'em.
That is the end of that story.

WE think "It was a dark and stormy night" is unfairly ridiculed. Mostly cuz we dont LIKE dark and stormy nights.
