PRESLEE |
Kittehz, I'm in hot water.
No, not literally.
Actually, I'm in the sink.
I'm in trouble over peeing in the other sink on the Dad's side of the bathroom.
Yes, I do.
I pee in one sink (Dad's) and nap in the other sink (Mom's).
Never the other way around.
Mommy doesn't understand why this is happening.
I still use my litterbox like a good boy.
I also have a pre-occupation with the faucet and the shower (while it's running).
Am I just a strange little kitten or should Mommy take a sample in to the vet?
Inquiring minds need to know.
Meanwhile, I'll be in the sink.
Happy Mancat Monday and purrs, y'all!
Pee Ess - we got snow yesterday! We kittens were transfixed on the catio!
Seppo also pees in the sink sometimes - Äiti is just grateful it's in the sink, hehehehe. Are there enough boxes in the house ? Like you all have one each and then plus one more ? Apparently that can make a difference. There might be some special smells in daddy's sink that are attractive ? Dunno - Äiti says she would be interested in any advice too!
ReplyDeleteI think last week's My Cat From Hell had a cat with this problem. The cat had an issue with the guy of the house and was trying to keep him on some sort of kitty schedule or something like that. In any case, I hope it gets solved!
ReplyDeleteRupert will occasionally whiz in the tub, and he actually aims it down the drain...Mommy says she's seen this in several kitties and she thinks it's just a quirk; HOWEVER, if you are doing it constantly in tiny amounts or appear sick at all you should get to the vet! (Sweet Pea was sink-peeing when she had cystitis.)
ReplyDeleteWe's never peed in da sink, or had another kitty do it. We'd just make sure there are enuf boxes and dat at least some of em don't have lids - our Jezebel didn't like boxes wif lids. Which we figured out way too late.
ReplyDeleteNever pee in the sink. It seems too obvious. Use the tub instead.
ReplyDeletePreslee, we cannot answer your question. We purr you will lose interest .
ReplyDeleteBet that snow was fun to watch!
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
I have never peed in the sink. I prefer to nap in it. At least it's better than on the carpet.
ReplyDeleteI have *embarrassed ears* peed in the tub two times. Mom said she could not comprehend what that was. But after a suspicion and the next time, she knew I had. She was just grateful it wasn't on the floor or against the fur-nit-chur.
ReplyDeleteWe can't help with the pee issue, either, though we, too, wondered if there are enough boxes -- the one for everyone plus one extra rule of thumb, in various spots in the house. Good luck sorting it out!
ReplyDeleteWe think a sample to the vet would be a good idea ;-)
ReplyDeleteIf nothing is wrong with your plumbing, your pawrents are lucky you aren't peeing on the carpet!
Nothing wrong with a vet check just to be sure and to ease the peeps minds, but here's one thought our head peep thought: Maybe it's dad's shaving lotion that's making that sink oh, so attractive to go in. Stranger things have happened! Purrs...
ReplyDeleteI've had kitties nap in the sick but not pee in it. Hope it's just a quirk and that everything is ok!
ReplyDeleteOccasionally, Astrid pees in the downstair's bathroom sink or one of the kitchen sinks. Mom gets the clorox and hot water. Mom actually wishes we'd all do it. So easy to clean up. She knows Astrid's is stress related. The Cat from Hell (Animal Planet) just had an episode with a cat that was doing the same thing. We always say Vet check just in case something is wrong. Sorry about that snow. Thank COD, we haven't had any yet. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeletePreslee, I think that's quite sensible to pee in one sink and nap in the other. It's like having en suite!!
ReplyDeleteMom says she wishes Ping would pee in the sink instead of the window! *SIGH* You look so adorable in that sink!
ReplyDeletewell emma pees in the sink sometimes too, sigh!
ReplyDeleteyou sure look comfy there.
emma and buster
Newton pees in the kitchen sink. As long as your vet says it's a quirk and not a sign of a medical condition, your humans can be glad you have chosen a spot that is so easily cleaned. (And we're surprised to hear in comments how many sink peeing kitties we have in the blogosphere!)
ReplyDeletedood...silly as thiz sounds if ya peed ther once yur gonna probablee think itz oh kay ta pee ther again coz ther mite bee some smells left over...plus may bee mom kneads ta put out another box sew therz knot a line ...holdin it...like at a concert...waitin to...go...

Bet Mom is glad you use the boy's sink:) No snow here, can we come play?
ReplyDeletewoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Maybe Preslee is trying to tell the Dadguy he is the boss/in charge/alpha??
ReplyDeleteA Vet check to be sure nothing else is going on might be good.
Kitties! If it's not one thing...it's another ;)
the critters in the cottage xo
Maxwell: Uh, dood. Faraday did that after (ahem) watching our dad use the facilities when he was a kitten. We figured he was just copying the father figure!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Maybe it's a comment on how clean your daddy's side *isn't*!
ReplyDeletePee in the sink is better than, the other in the sink!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you're smart enough to pee in the sink and not on the floor or somewhere else. We're not sure why you're doing this but like the Herd Cats said, we're surprised how many other kitties do this.
ReplyDeleteHissy Old Licorice used to pee in the sink! And in the tub!
ReplyDeleteHe also used the litter box. And he sleeped in the sink too. Mommy said he did it ever since he was a kitten. And she never ever figured out why...or how to gets him to stop...
Kisses
Nellie
rut roh about the pee AND the snow! We are getting snow right now too! UGH!
ReplyDeleteNone of us has ever peed in the sink or the tub. Mind you, none of us sleep in the sinks either.
ReplyDeleteWe hopes it is just a funny kitty quirk for you.
Enjoy your nap!
