Here's my Sunday Selfie. We had a request from our special FURRIENDS, that I should have some blog time. Here I am in all my glory. Mommy helped with the pic today. (that's why it's blurry)
I kind of made a little boo- boo Caturday morning at 6:30 in the am. I pushed the Dale Tiffany lamp off the dresser and onto the floor. Here are your questions answered:
Yes, it's destroyed.
No, I'm not in trouble.
No, she didn't cry, rant, or rave. (surprisingly)
No, she's not an idiot for buying an expensive piece like that with cats at home. She bought it before she had cats at home.
But, she says the next lamp will be made of metal or rubber. MOL!

Precious, I am embarrassed for Sparkle, Binga and Boodie to admit this for them - but they have never broken anything valuable! Neither did the cat before Sparkle. The cat BEFORE the cat before her? Well, that is another story. ;-)

I wish I could blame the pets for most of my broken lamps... but I did still scream and yell when Amelia broke the lamp I hauled all the way back from Mexico in my backpack. I didn't yell at her, of course, she wasn't anywhere around that messy spot in the house until it was properly cleaned up! :)

ReplyDeleteOur table lamp was broken a couple of days ago. But not by me! By some workmen. Really. Mommy saw them do it!
ReplyDeleteIt was sort of an antique. Mommy bought it many years ago--at Target!
Now she just needs green papers so we can buy another lamp or two.
She wasn't very mad. It wasn't a real antique. But we really need another lamp by the computer. It is very dark at night!
Lovely to see you Precious :) Like our Mama says, in the end they are only things and we are love, that is how she puts it into perspective :)

Great selfie! I have had many items destroyed by kitties and I don't get mad either. Kitties are more important than anything.

ReplyDeletePrecious! Nothing is a as Precious as you if we go by your Mama's stellar reaction! We have broken nice lamps here too...and lots of other nice things as well... we feel we help keep our Mama's priorities straight by not allowing her to get too attached to things! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm glad your mom wasn't too upset at you breaking the lamp. Accidents happen. We don't have anything breakable here....well not anymore. I pushed one of those glass floaty-thing thermometers off the bookshelf and it made a mess. Luckily I wasn't hurt and nothing else was damaged.

Beautiful selfie, Precious! Angel Dakota and Phantom were real rascals in their younger years and they managed to break one of Mom's beautiful Tiffany lamps too. It belonged to her Mom and was not replaceable:( But she wasn't mad either, well, at least not after a while:)

Aaaaaaaw Yous look gawjus. And weez didn't even fink yous wuz in twubble. As fur da buyin' a piece like dat and havin' cats, there's no weason anypawdy shuld wunnew why. Yous can hav lots of nice fings and still hav cats. Weez awe faw mowe caweful than dogs. MOL But yous know accidents do happen. Seems to me da table wuz too small to hold yous boff. MOL

ReplyDeletePrecious...that's a great selfie. We'll let you in on a little secret.....Angel Sniffie broke one Waterford night table lamp and Ellie broke the other one a few years later. They didn't get in trouble either.
