Have you kittehz ever had your smoke/fire alarms to go off?
We did at at 1 am this morning!
What a ruckus that was! We kittehz hid UTB (under the bed).
The peeps soon ruled out an actual fire, the human aunt had accidentally set it off while replacing her batteries. ( remember the multi- generational home we reside in)
Thank Baste this was a false alarm, but we realize we need to be more prepared for this type of emergency. Are you kittehz prepared?
Our Mommy found a pretty good fact sheet on house fires and pets.
Here's the LINK.

Happy Friday and purrs y'all.
Wow, that must have been scary! My human worries about stuff like that all the time - whether she is actually prepared is another story.
ReplyDeleteWHY in the world do those things ALWAYS go off in the night? That and the carbon monoxide alarm never FAIL to beep when the battery needs changing!!
ReplyDeleteScary!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe aren´t prepared too!!!!
Scary! ANd thank goodness it was a false alarm
ReplyDeleteIt's awful when that happens especially in the night.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
We're very glad it was a false alarm! Have a good weekend, WITHOUT any scary noises!

We've had our go off for NO reason. It is scary!!! Glad it was just a "false" alarm.
ReplyDeleteoh yes we have had that steady beep beep warning that the battery is low in the weee hours. Mom says it sounds like a little baby chick.
ReplyDeletehugs madi your bfff
Um...my fire alarm died several months ago and I haven't replaced it yet. *ashamed* Thank you for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks whenever I read someone has lost a pet or pets in a house fire. Special pet decals on windows alert firefighters to pets. It's also a good idea to think about what you would do if you had a real fire.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad it was a false alarm, Princeton.
ReplyDeleteGlad it was a false alarm, but you are right we all need a plan!
ReplyDeleteI am relieved it was a false alarm. The battery low beep kept going off in the middle of the night so mum replaced it last week.
ReplyDeleteWhew! Glad it was false alarm. How come you all hid UTB and not investigated what it was about? Buster would go in the direction of the noise, then ran the opposite way when he finds it.

Dat doesn't sound like any fun at all!
ReplyDeleteThey is NOISY!!! And they scares me!

The only time the smoke alarm goes off is when the mom is cooking and she burns stuff. We go flying when that happens.
ReplyDeleteYIKES! Thank Cod it was a false alarm!
ReplyDeletewe hate when ours goes off by accident, we also hate when the battery is running low and the woman doesn't stop talking! MOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link! Mom needs to move both our PTUs back in the house, they got moved to the sunroom this summer and the towels washed. We hate our smoke alarm too!
ReplyDeleteOh man, that must not have been fun...pretty darn scary!
