PRECIOUS |
Is this the face of a killer?
The day started innocently enough with us kits lounging on the catio by 7 a.m (CST).
By 7:48 Preslee abandoned the catio with such a clatter that the Daddy arose from
the bed to see what was the matter. (heh-heh)
The rest of us kits, (Precious, Princeton, & Prudie) had cornered something small and
were converging upon it.
Daddy yelled to Mommy (who was still abed...) to get his glasses.
When the Daddy could see what was causing the commotion - he yelled for the something sharp.
Kittehz, it was a snake - and Precious was trying to take him down!
This can not be allowed as we have several poisonous snakes here in SE Oklahoma.
He struck at Precious and Mommy made terrible Mommy sounds.
So Daddy shooed us indoors (Precious was reluctant to let her quarry go...)
then he killed it with a shovel!
No photos were obtained as the Mommy was dancing from one foot to another.
We didn't even get to sniff it.
Oh well, at least it makes good blog fodder.
Have a great Monday efurrybody and purrs, y'all!
UPDATE; No clue what type of snake it was, far too mangled to identify...

All we get is lizards here. :(
ReplyDeleteNow I have to admit, if you want something nasty caught, a girlcat is the best. Well done Precious. Do you know what type of nasty hissy thing it was?
ReplyDeleteAnd was it big enough for a nice snake skin handbag????
Whoa! I wonder what kind of snake it was!
ReplyDeleteGAH!!!!! Outdone by a female Feline... we'll never live it down... although Felix once slew a sidewinder rattlesnake!
ReplyDeleteAshamedly yrs, CC and Rupert.
Oh my COD! That was extra-scary!!! We are glad your Dad made it deaded. Poor Mommy--we can only imagine those terrible Mommy sounds! Like from a horror moobie, we think.
ReplyDeleteWOW! We have never seen a snake and we do not have poisonous ones.
ReplyDeleteGood thing your Dad dispatched it quickly!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh the only thing we like that crawls is babies.

Hugs madi your bfff
Precious you are brave and a little crazed. MOL MOL MOL
We hope Grandpa is better we missed you
Don't be messing with any poison critters!
ReplyDeleteWe always looked first before whacking; however, with over zealous feline hunters involved, we understand the need to demolish the evil serpent!
ReplyDeleteThat is scary, I am glad your Dad rescued you before anyone got hurt.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Yippee for Dads being there to put a stop to that!

Well done Precious! We get vipers here which are poisonous, (the only British poisonous snake) and I have caught several over the years. The first time I brought one home, mum bashed it on the head with a sledgehammer.
ReplyDeleteYikes! And we thought we had it bad fighting off a 2 headed BatCat. :)
ReplyDeleteYikes!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Dad was very brave to tackle that viper - we would have run away to hide.
