Easy Like Sunday - Or Not?

Hi furriends, Prancer Pie here.  I'm tryin to get my easy on, but the pawparazzi here is very persistent.

Mommy recently commented on some kitteh's blog by saying we were waiting with "baited breath".      We googled bated/(baited) and learned a great deal.  Although Shakespeare (we think) was the first to use the phrase in The Merchant Of Venice, like most things this has been mostly forgotten through the years and learned that most commonly "baited" is used now.  Too bad.  But we did come across this poem by Geoffrey Taylor, to help remind us of the difference of "bated" - to hold your breath with anticipation, and "baited" - which means scented.

Sally, having swallowed cheese
Directs down holes the scented breeze

                                     
Enticing thus with baited breath                                                   
Nice mice to an untimely death.

Senile Saturday

Hi furriends, Princeton here.  Do you like my latest masterpiece?  This was fourth in a series of works I have completed.  My Mommy keeps sayin she is gonna put the toilet paper sculpture material away at night.  She keeps forgetting. (4 nights in a row!)  HaHaMeow!

Thankful Thursday

Hi furriends, HRH Princess here on your Thankful Thursday.  What am I thankful for?  A nice warm kitteh bed cause the weather man says we're in for more rain.  Mommy says maybe next time she'll be more specific when she purrays for rain.  (not all at once!)
