Changes On Caturday
Hi furriends, Prancer Pie here. Guess what? We got new foods this week. Mommy has wanted to go grain-free fur a while, but couldn't get up the nerve. Well, in an ordering mistake we ended up with this Science Diet (the brand we usually eat). The first ingredient is chick-hens and it has vegetables and (get this kittehz) cranberries! It actually smells yummy. The Mommy was very worried. But, 3 outta 4 kittehz loved it. The decision is still out fur one kitteh:
HaHaMeow! Happy Caturday efurrybody and purrs, ya'll.

Well it sounds yummy to me. I love cranberries. If Precious doesn't like it I'll take it.

Boy when My Vickie changes my food and I don't like it, I make sure she smells about it for weeks.

Guess what! That's the food I've been eating for the past couple of months. Glogirly was all worried I wouldn't like it and mixed my old food with this. From day 1, I've not TOUCHED the old food, but I snarf up the new! ...be careful though...I gained weight because Gloman was giving me too much in the beginning.

Awww!!! what's wrong Precious? You look like you didn't get any yummy nom nom of your liking!
ReplyDeleteI'm always suspicious of new foods as well. I don't blame you Precious.
ReplyDeleteWOW! We missed yesterday's post--what a skeery storm! Did you all hide in a safe spot???
ReplyDeletePrecious: It is the job of the kitteh to be picky. Those others are being too easy. You hold out for as long as you want till they buy you what you like. Good girl! SOMEKITTY has to uphold the standards!
How did I ever guess that Precious would be the nay vote? MOL!
ReplyDeleteÄiti wants us to go grain free too but cranberries are not good for kidney problems. But we look forward to new food - and the mistakes she will make getting the right one, hehehehe. Have a great weekend dudes.
ReplyDeleteSp, Precious, do tell us more!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Our mama has been thinking about getting this for us but she was afraid we wouldn't like it (we are somewhat finicky). But hearing that 3 out of 4 at your house liked it is a good sign. (We will be talking to Precious before WE decide.)

It's nice to see these typically grain-heavy food companies offering grain-free, at last. If this doesn't work for you all, there are LOTS of options out there today for grain-free kibble.
ReplyDeleteNow if only vets, who don't get training in cat nutrition (except from Hills marketing people), would get on board with diets for obligate carnivores too. :-)
Heeeey, that sounds pretty good. Maybe our Mumsy will accidentally order some too.
ReplyDeleteI'm never a fan of the new foods either.

M tried to put me on that and i put my paw firmly down and said "no way!"
ReplyDeleteShe's determined she'll get me to go grain free too, but so far I'm rejecting everything she brings home to try. If any one has a solution to solve our problem let us know.
That sounds delish!!! :) Your mom is great! I love that she is changing your diet to help you stay fit and healthy! Go mom!!!
