I'm complaining loudly for my selfie today.

I thought there was a book about my life, but apparently

I'm Lord of the Fleas, not Flies.

The human was less than pleased to find out about my being Lord and all.

She's washed, vacuumed, medicated...ya'll know the drill.

It's still hotter than a blister bug in a pepper patch here in Ok-cat-homa,
but we're staying cool inside while the catio is fumigated for fleas.

Hi kits!   This is me relaxing in the sauna.

Not really.  We don't have a sauna, but that's what it feels like outside.

The "hots" have definitely come to us Okie (Oklahoman) cats.

For the most part, we've been staying inside, but I did stray out one day this week

and had Mom snap a pic of me.

Mommy drags us back in after a short time and makes us cool off.

She's such a worry-wart!

Thermal Thursday And Mommy-Shaming

We're meeeeeltingggg!

Yes, the no-good, very bad, horrible hots are here.

As a result of the hots, we kits don't go out in the catio til late after the sun sets.

The Mommy and Daddy like to be in bed before midnight -

therein lies the problem.

So starting at 10:00 pm (CST) every night the humans start cajoling, begging,

giving treats, sometimes even crying for us to come inside so the catio can be closed until sunup.

We stand firm.

So the Mommy in a fit of who the hell knows what last ditch effort took the DUSTBUSTER

out into the catio and turned it on Tuesday evening. (She felt so ashamed after.)

We're still not speaking to her.

Go ahead furriends, berate and abuse her.

She deserves it.

We hope you kits (and woofies) have a better week than us.

Thursday Threesome

What we've got here kittehz is another traffic jam.

Mommy opened the extra window to the catio and pandemonium ensued.
That's because we still have......THE HOTS.

Yes it's true.  It was a sweltering 95 (F) degree day here yesterday.
Did we mention that we had been without rain for several weeks, also?
Wednesday was actually a record-breaking high for us.
Today is gonna be a hot one again.
We kittehz are just gonna enjoy it.
(and listen to Mommy gripe)
This weekend is supposed to bring cooler temps our way.
So we're off to the catio to bask in the sunshine and hots while we've got them.

Finally Friday!

It's been a crazy, busy, week here at Angel Prancer Pie.

The human sister celebrated her birthday with the above strawberry/chocolate ganache cake.

We kittehz did NOT score any of that cake.

 The Mommy has been walking our human Grandma's weiner dogs.

Sometimes they walk, sometimes they just roll.

Mommy stopped by to see the grand dog this week.
He's doing great and has the Mommy wrapped around his paw.
(We can't believe the traitorous Mommy lets him lick her!)

Mommy scored a phone pic of this squirrel in the human's sister's neighborhood.

She said he was either brave, very thirsty, or just plain stupid.

because the AC is blasting.

Good thing our heat indices are going to be well over 100 this week.

Hi kittehz!  I'm coming to you from the catio.  We have a case of the "hots".   It's gonna be 90+ degrees fahrenheit today!  Soooo, the Mommy took my pic through the dirty window while I lounged in the shade,  (instead of running her big head through the cat flap again).  MOL!

Mommy can't believe our temperatures have rebounded like this.  Earlier last week, we were wearing jackets. (crazy Oklahoma weather)   We kittehz can't believe our good luck, it's purrfect catio weather.

Tuxie Tuesday

Hi furriends, Precious here.  Obviously my Mommy has been busy with the flashy box.  She must have disabled my light sleeping/hair trigger reflexes and sneaked up on me!   I had just turned the bed down for her a tad and starting warming her up a spot.  I'm really sweet like that.  HahahaMeow!

We are still having the hots and no rain.  We knew summer would eventually get here, we just didn't think it would be in September!  Us kittehz are spending our days lazing under the air conditioning.

Hi furriends, Prancer Pie here.  The peeps are headed out to catch a college ballgame and it's my job to hold this sofa in place.  MOL!

 It's still so hot here.  How hot is it, you ask?  It's so hot, the flies aren't even bitin.  It's so hot, cows are givin evaporated milk.  It's so hot, we saw a roasted turkey fly by.  It's so hot, chickens are laying hard-boiled eggs.  HahahaMeow!  Seriously, it will be up in the 100s (F) today.  Whew!

Sweltering Tuxie Tuesday

Hello furriends, it's me, Precious.  First, happy Tuxie Tuesday to all my tuxie furriends out there!
We're still purring for our tuxie furriend, ABBY.  The last update we read was much improved.  That makes us so happy.

All of us kittehz here are takin it easy.  Catio time doesn't start til well after 10 pm, because the hots are so awful right now. Our heat index today was 116 degrees fahrenheit  at 6 pm!  Mommy says it's best to "lay low" through the day.  I don't know what that means, but the back of the sofa suits me fine!

I hope all my furriends have a super Tuesday, stay cool, hydrated, and just remember this:  TUXIES RULE!!!

Hi furriends, Princeton here.  Nothing to report here today.  It was 100+ degrees fahrenheit.  The Mommy is griping incessantly about it.  She's such a sissy.  We're just gonna keep layin low.  We are actually supposed to get a break in the heat soon.  (paws crossed)

This is our furriend, Thunder from THE CHRONICLE OF WOOS.  He is very sick.  Thunder, his siblings, and his humans could use some purrs, woofs, and pawsitive thoughts.  Please pop on over and leave a kind word for them.   We know it would be very appreciated.
