UPDATE:  11:36 am  Central -  I'm still a little stunned at the turn of events here, but Princess had to be helped to  the Bridge at about 10:30 this morning.  We took her in because of a loose tooth and swelling.  It turned out (after x ray) that our sweet tortico girl lost her tooth due to jawbone loss.  Cancer had totally eradicated the left side of her jawbone.  I was shocked to see the xray.  Bless her heart, she never complained about pain and ate her breakfast this morning (albeit not much).  She was down to 6 pounds and some ounces.  That was down 1/2 pound from last year.  I held her in my arms til the end.  She complained noisily by growling and the last thing she left us with was some awful flatulence.  I always knew she would do that until the end.  

Thanks for the kind words and Mommy is gonna go lose herself in some chocolate and tears.  Our sweet girl would have been 19 this spring.

Caturday Purrs, Please

Hi furriends, we're gonna ask for some pawsitive thoughts and purrs this Caturday morning.  Princess has some sort of tooth/jaw problem.  It started Friday with (what we thought) was the loss of a tooth. (there was blood in her mouth)  Drooling, smell, and a lump on the jaw has formed.  She is eating, using the box, resting well.  But as with all "mature" kittehz, there is lots more that can go wrong and she is definitely more frail than this time last year.

She will be whisked to the dreaded V-E-T in the a.m.  Mommy will probably need a stiff drink long before they ever get there!  (she just can't stand it when us furbabies aren't well)  We'll update ASAP.  Maybe Mommy needs the purrs as much as Princess. MOL!

We hopes all our furriends have a super Caturday.  Purrs, y'all.

Thankful Thursday

Hi furriends, Princess here on your Thankful Thursday.  As you can see, I've got a rough life here in the heated cat cup that's by the fireplace.  Hee-hee.

We're thankful this Thursday for some sunny weather and warming temps.  We hope all our furriends getting all that white stuff, are safe and warm.

Our Mommy got a message from GRACIE'S Mommy and she said they had 10 1/2 inches!  Thank cod that's not here.  We Okies can barely deal with 2!  Purrs fur an early spring thaw for them.
