Caturday Concerns

Happy Caturday! It's me, HRH Princess, guest posting today. I wanted to let all you furriends out there know the reason we do not haf 4 hammicks is because I do not like the hammicks. I much prefer the comfy red couch or on top of the Mom. (the Mom is very lumpy and warm)

I also wanted to remind all of you that we haf alot of furriends we are purring hard fur. Ginger Jasper, Opus family (sniffle), Dr Tweety, and DMM. There are maybe more, but  those were on the tip of my tongue. Let's all get our motors revved up fur these furriends and help them along. You can check  the latest news ofur on the Cat Blogosphere. Well, I'm off fur my Caturday nap(s). Mommy is singing her stoopid Caturday song. Purrs and smooches, ya'll.

  6. Well done Princess and you are looking very royal today.
Answer to your question on our blog:
YES the pine trees are really that tall. NC is called the Pine State for that reason. Over the summer we had 5 pines cut down the shortest one was about 30' the tallest one was 70'. They had to bring in a crane to take it down in pieces. A man was hoisted to the top of the pine by the crane. He tied another chain around the top of the tree. Then moved down about 10' to make the first cut.
Pines have very long tap roots and can withstand wind. As you can see many are top heavy. During ice storms, which we have a lot, they become loaded with ice and it isn't a pretty scene when they start to fall. Thankfully all of the extremely tall ones near the house are gone.

  14. Princess, we have 2 hammicks. Zoey absolutely loves hers and uses it all the time. Me and Wally share one, and neither one of us uses it much. So don't feel bad about not liking hammicks.
